Taste the Love: Southern Style.. Simply Mommy’s (Loaded) Potato Soup..


Soup Simply Mommy’s Loaded Potato Soup

12 Potatoes Peeled and cubed for boiling.

4 stalks of celery sliced

1 small carrot sliced

1 small onion diced

Boil potato’s, celery, onion, and carrot until very soft remove from heat and drain. Return to heat on low,  add following ingredients until it is well blended.

1 cup of Milk

1/2 cup Sharp Cheddar Shredded Cheese

1 pouch of Velveeta   Cheese sauce

1/4 cup cream cheese

1/4 cup sour cream

Salt and Pepper to fit your taste…

Now you can begin to load it.. for toppings you might add:

Diced tomato’s

Fresh bacon bits but I recommend making these yourself due to all the added ingredients of the store bought brand the sodium content is crazy in those.

Sour cream

Chives… oh word this makes it soooo good. 

If you must … more shredded cheese of your choice.

Serve with a sandwich or Soft warm plain french bread sliced… enjoy.. but remember this is southern so if your watching your waist line you might want to limit this recipe to a couple times a year.. lol.
